Ask.com has hired former Google executive Cesar Mascaraque as its new European managing director starting 4 February 2008.

Mascaraque said in a statement that Ask.com is the fastest growing search engine and that it is "an exciting time to join".
Interesting as the figures from Hitwise don't depict the "Fastest Growing Search Engine" comment.

I'll agree. Ask does have an interesting media blitz going on and have been for the past 12 months or so. Between the Unibomber Billboards and the TV Commercials, the Ask Brand is getting out there. ;)
