Teoma crawls the web, just like any bot, which certainly includes Dmoz. The extent to which Teoma values the ODP link as part of its algo is certainly debatable.

Notwithstanding, remember that Teoma is PFI-1st URL $30.00. This is done thru AskJeeves. That is how you get indexed for rank. But as it sounds you know by your post, Teoma is really really interested in link structure. Go ahead and get some more links to do well with competitive phrases. Teoma likes to find authorities, relying on the links heavily, and arguably more than any other algo.
