Teoma is a lot slower to update than G. You can get into G pretty fast, it might take a while on Teoma.
201- to 170 in Google & now down from 26 to 12 for Teoma, for the common singular keyword since March.
Have been following (of sorts) Bretts famous steps to a successful website and seems to work in other SE's like Teoma (that no-one seems to use much)
But doing well with good results in top 10 google for 2 word keywords.
I hope Theposter that one day the googs algo's revert to similar to Teoma & make me happy, but then you are on the other end of the scale.

interesting what you say, i've noticed a convergance of SERPs from teoma and google. Not that the algos are the same by a long shot. Teoma does not put all its eggs into the incoming high PR related/unrelated basket.
Teoma > theme site. > extreme topic inbound and outbound link (sites) relations. Mistakes are made, with the believe that using Google's PR linking success approaches, will carry in Teoma. They won't, this is where, certainly looking towards the future teoma beats Google hands down.
Its a 2 word competitive consumer orientated search term (£5+ per click in overture UK). The search was run without quotes etc.
The top 7 results are sites operated by the same company and have been live for between 1 and 5 years (I know this for a fact).
All have near identical content and optimisation -
Keyphrase appears as follows:
once in title
once in meta title
twice in meta description, along with numerous variations
twice in meta keywords, along with numerous variations
3 times on page (one bold, one linked and one plain), along with numerous variations
meta desciption is repeated in comment tags three times on the page (top, middle and footer).
all the top 7 results mentioned above plus about 10 other sites are linked to each other using 1x1 pixel images a the top of the page.

Before you try this at home :) I should mention that the sites average a pr3 in google. The rankings in google for the oldests of the sites have plummeted since the new sites went live.
It sounds like a site or collection of that have slipped through the net. or more to the poin the algo spam detectors, are these results from teoma's algo or are they provided by a partner?
I got them on teoma.com but the results in ask.co.uk are similar.
I just double checked the results and it seems i missed the fact that results 8 and 9 are also on the same link network with similar meta tags.
I'm guessing that they'll be found and punished soon enough, if not by teoma then by google.
i think certainly for webmasters with restrictive budgets (nearly everyone), teoma isn't the best bet when them funds can be spent on other pfi ppc or ppv listings in ROI maximisation.
C'mon Teoma get yourself recognised out there and make me happy.
