Creating a website with Chinese translations.

How do I create a website in Chinese? Resources anyone?

How would I check the validity and accuracy of the translation? I have a client in Hong Kong who needs a website in English, Chinese, and Hong Kong Chinese?

Has anyone completed a website with foreign languages? Are there any free resources online?

Welcome to WebmasterWorld jwansandwaxes,

checking validity of a translation is very difficult.

I use native speakers for this, there really isn't any other way. I also use professional translation companies who I have checked out thouroughly and can trust. The free traslation services are junk, especially for chinese or other asian languages.

Yes, you must have native Hong Kong people to help you, you job can not be simply finished by an online translator.

Beware about that: do not employ a translator from mainland China to help you in this case. Hong Kong Chinese are very different from mainland Chinese. A translator from mainland China can not get you job done perfectly.

Hong Kong is part of Mainland China, officially Hong Kong people have to use the same Chinese from mainland China. However Hong Kong people like to mix their local dialect into Chinese, which make their Chinese very different from the Chinese we use in Beijing. Hong Kong Chinese is very special, if you are targeting at Hong Kong market, you better to hire a native HongKongese for you.
