I use weblog expert lite to analyse my referrals in further detail.
All my analysis costs me absolutely nothing and okay the programs aren't as powerful as some of them out there, but as a starter pack I'd definitely recommend them.

If Urchin is $35.00 a year how do you order it? Their website is kind of weird. Can anybody help me with answers to these questions? Thanks.
With version 8 they swithced to what I call a Client/Server concept. This means that the actual software runs as a service, and you access it via the web browser. A lot of companies do this: among other NetTracker.
Am I the only person who doesn't like this?
I like standalone software! Something I install on MY box which I can start up when I need it and shut off when I don't need it. I don't want the log analyzer running on its own accord. I don't want it to hang around in my precious work memory consuming a bit of my precious CPU power.
But it seems all modern packages don't come standalone anymore?
That is because the asp/service model is so much easier and stress free. You don't have another application to worry about, nor having to back it up, etc. It's just simple, it's there when you need it and you don't have to worry about it.
I was not talking about hosted (or ASP) models (which I don't like too), but about instead of having a "normal" Windows program which I can start and close now having a "server process" running in the background (or on a different PC) and a web-browser to interface it.
I CAN see the advantages of this concept. I just don't like it.
We use the British one, which can be installed on a number of different server platforms and tracks cached and offline traffic using first-party cookies.
The South African seems to be Windows/SQL specific and runs via ASP scripts. I have no idea how good it is.

The good thing is that it can be localized (Danish)
The bad thing is that it can't run as a service and therefore will stop when we log off the machine.
Anyone knows any good statsprogram that:
Will run as a service
Be stable
Can be localized
