How long has it been the AV 5 url per code format?

Admittedly its been a while since I did any submitting to AlltheWeb, but I've noticed their Add URL form is now, well, very Altavista-ish to say the least!
Is this a new development or am I just lagging badly behind the times? ;-)

Hehe, good find stripey :)
Shows how rare the submit url is visited, eh?

maybe a bit speculative but this suggests to me that the ATW index is going to be powering something that's worth spamming it's Add URL page with lots of page submissions.

To me this simply suggests what we already know from the horses mouth: ATW and AV have been integrated on the frontend.

Couldn't give me a link to where you heard this could you Heini?
I'm curious about this :)

Heini is right. This awful feature(?) was added in the front end after the AV and ATW back ends were integrated a few months back. This is something I never liked on the AV site.

Aah.
Well lets hope the horror that is AV's frontend doesn't impinge more on the spankingly clever wonderousness that is AtW's.
Always loved the AtW interface look n feel above even Google.

submit URL? what you are talking about.... ;-)
okay, to be honest: I don't think, that itīs necessary to submit, so - like rumbas announced - we couldn't notice the new feature.

If you have a good link popularity Altavista is quick to include for free, but lately Fast is very slow.
I have been waiting for new sites to be added (for free )since last November...
:) Has anyone noticed submission to the FAST form get spidered by fast or is it AV spider spidering?

Good posts, guys. It is quite refreshing to see relevant info about SEs that aren't Google-centric. Google has done nothing but frustrate me lately so it is quite nice to see "spankingly clever wonderousness" associated with ATW. I think we have a new adjective here ;-)

If you're just now spotting this its easy to see why Google is putting it to us.

Maybe I've got better at typing in the jumbled characters but I never seem to get error messages any more. I used to get them all the time.

Please don't tell me that AV and AllTheWeb are integrating search results?

I have been getting spidered by crXXXrXX.sac.overture.com spiders but the IP from ARIN comes back as Fast Search, Inc. 66.77.73.0-66.77.73.255
