Remember Yahoo's sharp rise in quarter revenues?

....Turns out, a key source of that spike was Yahoo's entry in the paid search business. Earlier this year, it partnered with Overture in a revenue-sharing agreement in which Overture's ads run at the top of Yahoo's search results. Take out the contribution from Overture and Yahoo's other advertising revenue was flat to down.

That is interesting...after I read that article, I noticed that the outlook on Yahoo was changing in general back to 'neutral' as a stock purchase...perhaps the investment banking community realized the same, and adjusted their attitude accordingly?

If Overture *is* that big a chunk of their revenue, it makes you wonder why they don't work those into the directory, too...it would give their editing staff something to do :) (given I expect a slow down in submissions through their express program.)

Heh! My thought is that Y! has adjusted their own attitude accordingly.
