I'd add to that that many (including myself) believe that a click on a site at #5 is worth more than a click on a site at #1. This helps the lower sites move up more quickly if they are receiving a reasonable amount of clicks. The theory being that if site #5 has is that far down and has as many clicks as #1 does...it likely deserves to be #2 or #1.
I would say that the title is by far the most important6, the description is also very very important. Also try to get your choosen keyword phrase in the description as well. After that I am not sure which is more important .... pagerank or keywords in the url. Of course if you have a pagerank 6 or 7 site that will sway your listing quite a bit due to the high google ranking site (with all that pagerank).
I just listed a site and nailed it! Ranking number 6 out of nearly 1000 sites .... the site has no pagerank simply because it is new.
If you are able to target a keyword phrase before you start building your site it will really help with your yahoo submission quite a bit because you can choose a domain name with those keywords and craft your site around those keywords.

Yes, those spamming catagories on yahoo ....with the domain containing no keywords at all but the title and sometimes if the site owner gets lucky the description leads me to believe that keywords in the domain "help" but the gold is in the title and description. Once you add a pagerank of 6 or more you seam to rise in the serp's as long as you have the title covered and descr.
I wonder how those yahoo editors handle submissions from these type of spamming "here today gone tomorow" webmasters. Seams more locical to work on a domain name with keywords and build up some pagerank .... Over the long term of course and this takes work.

Look at the link from any yahoo listing. It includes your search term and what the ranking is of the site and the number of overall search terms and a referral string.
In the past you could make sites rise by getting your friends and neighbors to click on specific listings, but click pop does not appear to have any weight any more. Still if you have friends and neighbors it doesn't hurt to give the sites a click.
Chef Brian-- I meant to say the title instead of the description-- my bad. The title is the most important and from what I've seen lately, if you pay $299 then you are entitled to make up a title that is keyword loaded that doesn't get edited.
