We launched our site and got the positioning that we wanted, under the terms that we wanted. While we had the little new logo next to our link, we would show up the first time you typed in our keywords and hit search. Everything is going well, right?
No, now (not sure if the little new symbol has anything to do with this), the new symbol is gone. You type in the search terms, just as before in the above paragraph, and we don't come up under the Yahoo results. You hit the search key again without changing anything in the search bar, just leaving it as is, and we come up where we are supposed to!
Can anyone tell me what the deal is here? Why when you perform a search one time you think you hav ethe results, you hit the search button a 2nd time and the results are different? Anyone else experience anything like this?
Thanks for any feedback and help....

IE6 can be very mysterious in the way it sometimes shows the new page and somtimes shows the old page. I once had a headache because ie wouldent show a 404 after I had removed the index file from my server. then it did...errr then it didnt .. try ctrl + f5
I haven't noticed any loss of traffic from yahoo from this...
Is this a normal occurance when Yahoo updates? I never noticed it before. I am not sure if we are losing traffic or not, but I would imagine if Joe User did a search and got results, he would not continue to hit the search key to check if there are missing results. I would imagine he would just review the list he received from his original search request. With that being said, I can only assume that any site experiencing this hiccup would be losing traffic. Does that make sense?
As for if this is normal. I don't know. I've never really paid much attention to the Yahoo updates before. As you may know Yahoo takes into account a sites PR when ranking. We had a big boost in PR this last month and we moved up nicely in the Y results. I don't think we'll go back down with our new PR.
Also there are some other threads on Y and serving up Yhoogle results. It looks like Yahoo is experimenting with some things and the results may be varying because of it...
