I submitted a non-profit site to Yahoo around 3-4 weeks ago and still no sign of it yet. It's in ODP and Zeal already.

Usually my sites get into Y! in a week. Anyone know what I can do to check?

I've been waiting for 2 non-profits for nearly 6 months now.

Their terms state to resubmit every 2 to 3 weeks if you aren't listed.

Now, given that advice, I am wondering if the cache/queue gets dumped every 2 to 3 weeks? And if so, which day?

I'm inclined to think they DO dump the cache/queue. And I'm also inclined to think they dump it at a prescribed day of the week or month.

With this in mind...I like to hear some feedback as to the length of time most people waited till they got their website in for free. If we could narrow it down to a time (i.e No-one has ever gotten in after waiting for more than a month.) That would be clue number one.

Clue number 2 would be on which day of the month or which day of the week it happens. If you could trim it down to that time...you could end up being first in the queue...and thus guaranteed a spot.

Just a theory.

(I did get one sight in..for free...less than 2 weeks.)

Finally got in after about 9 months!
Took a number of changes and re-submissions though; probably every 3 months.

How long after your last submission did it take to get in?

You say you submitted every three months, but did the one that 'took' take 1 week or 2 weeks or a month or a month+? I was surprised that one of mine got in in less than 2 weeks. (First attempt with that site.)

However there were previous submissions to similar, but less populated categories for 2 other sites that I've been waiting 6 months for.

So to date I have:
1 site-1 submission-2 weeks to listing
2 sites-1 submission (each)-6 months-no listing-submitted again almost a month ago-still no listing.

To be honest, I'd given up hoping to get a free listing, and had just re-submitted out of habit.
I'd just happened to take all commercial references off the main page as part of my G strategy, and got lucky with an editor I suppose.
