How does a Yahoo! inclusion help with Google?

People have said that Yahoo! inclusion helps them with Google. Is that true? How does it help?

The biggest way it helps is it provides a very good link to your site. If you get into a category in Yahoo with a high PR it helps all the more. Links from Yahoo and DMOZ are probably the two most important links you can get for your site.

Hey c1bernaught, it's not a waste if you know what you're doing.

There's been a lot of discussion in this Yahoo forum about how to improve your chances of getting listed.

Grab a beer, sit back and start reading. If you follow the proper steps, you won't get rejected.

I haven't had a site rejected in over a year.

Once you know what Yahoo is looking for it is fairly easy to get a site listed. As 2_much said, read through some of the past threads on Yahoo and also go to Yahoo and look at their terms of service. If you follow their guidelines you should have no problem getting a listing. The trick is getting a good listing but with the help of some of the past threads here that should be no problem either.

In my experience, it's definitely worth getting your site listed in Yahoo.

$300 dollars for a Yahoo! Business Express inclusion, is the best thing online that you can do for your web site. If you market your site right to yahoo, you can earn that $300 back ten-folds. Good luck, I would definatly recommend submitting your site. Just makes sure your site is in the same class as your competiters. If your site is better than theres or equal, then you should have no reason why they wouldnt include your site. Definatly worth the $300, or for that rather $299.

Well seriously.. yahoo is well worth the money.. you should make it back certainly within a month at worst.. go for it.. just do it.. move ahead.. can anyone name that tune? :) Ok.. well I highly recommend you spend the mesley 299.. if you were to go to ink.. just think.. thats a lousy 7 pages in their directory or something like that.. or get a yahoo listing and see the wonders it does for you.. worldwide :)
