Yahoo Weirdness

Hi,

I'll try to do this without being *too* specific; I'm sure the moderators will edit it if I fail. :-)

Any ideas on this:

In my referrer log, I have tons of referrals from Yahoo for the search "logo" (without the quotes). When I click thru to the SERPs from my stats page, my site is nowhere to be found; same situation when I do a search for "logo" (w/o quotes) myself.

Anyone know what could be causing this? Does Yahoo "stage" their index on different servers like Google?

Another bit of weirdness is that I went from the #4 listing to the #10 listing for another keyword phrase and my referrals went up???!

Still wondering if the update is phased in and maybe I'm not seeing the results other people are.

Interesting situation.

Only thing I can think of is keep watching it. If it is doing the same thing after a week....don't know what to tell you.

hi jen - i'm experiencing similar yahoo weirdness for a client listing. i just got them #1 for a keyword, which shows up here today, and showed up there yesterday on the client's machine - but does not show up today on the client's machine.

i can only surmise that yahoo has a network of servers, and that a certain amount of time has to pass for all the databases to sync-up.

anyone else have similar experiences?
