Can nobody help?

Below is the copy of a post I made a few days ago. As yet nobody has replied - surely you must have some ideas please.....

I really hope you can give me some ideas please.

I already have two sites I paid to get listed in yahoo with fairly good results (top 10) I had my third site approved about 3 weeks ago. Althought if I type in my main keywords together (as most searchers would do) I can't find my listing. My listing looks like

Title - Keyword 1&2 Direct
Discription word word word KEYWORD 1&2 words, words, words words words etcc...
URL - Keyword 1&2 Direct

If I try search for my keywords 1&2 plus two other lesser keywords that are in my discription I only show up at position 130.

There are plenty of sites that appear above mine with no keywords.

My yahoo directory listing is United Kingdon>Topic>Keywords 1&2

I submited through the paid program in the UK

Do you have any ideas why my listing is so low even though I have loads of keywords. My site is new and as yet doesn't have any inbound links.

Hi workinghard: did you try the library link [webmasterworld.com] on top of the "Directories" forum (where you're posting in)?
There are some good threads on how Yahoo ranks.

I'd start with this thread:

I'm sure this will give you lots of ideas on what is going on, and why without inbound links your ranking won't get better ;)

Where are you searching for it at? Are you searching the directory or yahoogle? Yahoogle may not have been updated. If it’s the directory you may not be ranking as high as the other sites that come up. Are the other results relevant?

When you see your result at 130, is that a search through all of yahoo?

All other things being equal, you'd expect a relevant SERP that covers an area the size of UK (in respect to the world) to be relatively low down the list.

What is the PR of your home page and what is the PR of the pages ranking above you?

IMHO their may_be some larger sites, maybe covering the same topics you do internationally (if thats applicable) and rank higher
