My site is promoting my own web design services. It contains around 30 pages, each with at least 300 words of info. Some pages describe my packages in detail, some pages are reserved for FAQs and a Jargon Buster - these provide my visitors with general info about web design, SEO and web hosting all spelled out in layman terms - some of it is specific to my business, some is just general information that I thought could be quite helpful.
What worries me is the fact that my site certainly isn't 'unique' in as much as I'm not the only company in the UK selling web design packages. But all the content is certainly unique because I wrote it all myself. And I certainly feel that my FAQs and Jargon Buster provide visitors with lots of helpful info that many web design companies dont bother explaining on their sites.
Could Yahoo turn around and say 'Thanks, but we have enough web design companies in our directory already'? I've decided to point out my FAQs and Jargon Buster in the comments section of the Yahoo form, but will that be enough, or do I have to provide much more information like the FAQs to keep the editors happy?
What exactly is 'Unique content' ?
I'm submitting to UK Yahoo, to a county specific region (South Yorkshire) that currently contains around 20 other sites (and in business terms, although some of these sites also offer packages, none of them offer a comparable package to any of mine - not sure if that makes any difference to Yahoo though?). Also, as far as I'm concerned, my site definitly conforms to Yahoo's other criteria (like good design, fast loading, no broken links, etc)
Thanks for any replies, sorry to ramble on!
Andy
