How Often Does Yahoo Update?

Anyone have any idea how often Yahoo updates?

I just got into Google and am hoping it will bring me higher than #188 in Y!, where I am now. :-(

I was tracking rankings for about 2 months and saw major updates about once a month. Minor position changes happen more frequently. My data is limited though, maybe someone has been tracking more closely over more months could answer definitively.

The only certainty is that Yahoo does a major update (in relation to Google) once every month, usually in the first week (July 4th was the last one). As for the mini-updates, they are completely unpredictable... for my search term, it was every Thursday and Saturday for two months, and then in July there hasn't been a single one.

Anyway, being listed in Google will help you in Yahoo tremendously. That's why I always tell people to not worry about their Yahoo listings until they're also in Google.
