I hear you on that, but my ranks haven't changed... so pr or not, the cause does not revolve around the site's change of ranking...
In my mind, the only thing that can cause that is Y! getting a *massive* boost in overall traffic (not likely), or their *use* of that traffic. (more likely).... NFFC thought it might be an attempt to make better use of their data, so less goes to the backup serps, and they save money. I noticed that they seem to be parsing more compound words and highlighting them on the serps pages lately...
here is an example: 'stock quote'

.... in the above example:
'stocks' and 'Quotes' shows that it can grab the singular root word (depending on the word) .... This *might* open up *some* results,
...but it's probably something else:) I'm the only one seeing this... That's cool..... that tells me something too..... now I just have to figure out exactly what that is:)
