I have a site that is listed in one category in Yahoo and was wondering if I submitted into another category if it would have a possibility of getting accepted.

Not sure if you could be listed in several cats. or not.

Hi beasscr,

It is possible to have the same site listed in many cats. If you have a lot of content you can divide it in many sub domains. ( keyword.domain.com )

You really need enought content to make it.

beasscr,

it is possible, you just have to make sure the content is VERY unique or they'll reject you on the grounds that your site is already listed.

I accomplished getting my site in 3 cats at Y! Got in the first one, then emailed a request to be included in another appropriate category and was added very quickly. Then, Y! added my site to a newly created sub cat. All this was done prior to them ever charging fees for biz sites.

Great thanks, but do you have to pay a fee everytime you want to get listed into a new category?

Unfortunatly, yes. They take keyword.domain.com as a separate account. I dont know about domain.com/content.

try submitting to the regional section of yahoo, find your city and give it a shot.

I found a site that is listed 70 times as domain.org/content.htm

Must be nice.

Well the result just came in. I re-submitted a few days ago and.... I didn't get in since the site was already listed. Now my next question is, I don't like the description that they already had for the site so do I really start chancing it now and asking them to change the description or just leave it be?

If I do ask to change the description who do I contact?

>If I do ask to change the description who do I contact?

Use the change form first. Record the date and if you get no results after 4 weeks, write to the below address politely explaining that you have already requested the update via normal channels and that you'd like them (supervisor) to do it. Send them the old description and the update, include the date of the failed request.

Hi everyone,
I have a multi language website - English/German, we have offices in Germany and US and we are looking for German and US clients so we need to be listed with both languages. Has anyone experience to do a business submission for a site like that? Are there any rules to follow? Thanks in advance, Andreas
