have anyone notice that yahoo been deleting site ?
Meaning sites that are 404 or dead. I notice that for a certain cat, the numbers decreased 20 + sites.

Good, great news! They should also be deleted when they point to what was formerly a site that is now nothing more than a doorway page to a site other than the original that was accepted.

Are they deleting, or replacing with the new site that's meta refreshed to?

Sure it's about time, I think their starting to add sites that are backlogged for years. Their probaly getting real free lately bcoz most cant afford a paid listing, therefore their listing for free- nah . But it would be good to do some good will - hehehe - this times needs goodwill.

I have been having really good luck with Yahoo lately. A competitor of mine keep adding in small sites, getting them accepted and then adding a server side redirect to their larger site.

I have written Yahoo and they have removed three of them from the directory.

I am sure Y! is happy about it. Now my competitor has to pay $299 per year to re-add their sites. Before they were grand-fathered into the old pricing.
