It doesn't come as a surprise, but according to Internetnews [internetnews.com] Ted Meisel, Overture CEO, annouced the agreement with Yahoo would be extended through the second quarter of 2002.

Not exactly a long term perspective though.

I wonder if they'll still try their own PPC deal. Looks like they've realized what that entails.

Click through costs went up marginally when yahoo joined the overture fold. However conversions fell through the floor after the holidays bases on comparative conversions from the year before. I am sure there are many variables but . . .

My gut is the yahoo is a high - low value to the PPC advertisers. High during times of rampant buying and low during the searching and browsing periods.

If I had my ideal PPC program, it would include a checkbox to include/exclude partners on my demand.

Its all about performance isn't it?
