Non-commercial site willing to pay for consideration

...but not $300 per ANNUM!

I have a non-commercial movie site. It is packed full of content and has a few affiliate links: I hope that will not count against me when looking for a free listing.

I have tried submitting it to Yahoo UK three times over the last year to no avail. Therefore, I have decided to pay $300 to ensure Yahoo has a look at it - seeing the quality of the site, I'm confident they will list it.

I was under the impression that a non-commercial site looking to be considered within 7 days would only have to pay the $300 once off:

[help.yahoo.com...]

"If you are submitting a non-commercial web site, you have two options for suggesting your site to Yahoo!.

*If you would like to be guaranteed a review and response to your submission, please suggest your site using our fee-based Yahoo! Express process.*

Alternately, you can suggest your site to non-commercial categories using our free Standard Submission process. Unfortunately, we do not have the resources to guarantee a review of every site submitted through the Standard Submission process."

But when I click on the link to Yahoo! Express it only mentions recurring fees! No mention of paying $300 once-off.

So is there no longer an option for a non-commercial site to pay a one-off $300 fee to have Yahoo look at their site?

If there is, where do I go to do this?

My impression is that, starting December, if you use Bizex you will have to pay recurring fees, even if your site is not commercial. Otherwise, you just have to keep trying using the free submissions form.

Free submission - forget it. They don't even bother to have a look.

Why should they, when they are earning $300 every year for non-free submissions? Yahoo nowadays is hardly a company with moral concerns or any sense of public service.

Thank you for your advice. I appreciate it :)

If you look through the new sites being published every day, you will notice that only about half of them would be what you would expect to see as Bizex submissions. The other half are definitely free submissions.
