Google.yahoo searches

Do Google results come from Yahoo or Google

Actually a basic question - when you do a keyword search on Yahoo, do the Google results come from a Google DB at Yahoo or are they passed to Google and returned? I guess the "Part Two" to that question is, if they come from Yahoo, does Yahoo "massage" the results before presentation? My question really relates to the WPG/Google issue. While I realize that the issue probably doesn't affect most of us, I have been cutting back on my Google searches just in case. If the Yahoo/Google results are not coming from Google, then the Yahoo Web Pages might be a close approximation of the Google results without hitting the Google DB. Thoughts?

I wasn't overlooking this question - I was hoping I could get an answer for this myself. All info points to the fact that the google.yahoo db is housed right at google. But, google is out there within a stones throw of Yahoo...

Would be nice ie check yahoo instead of google, but my only thought would be, I checked some clients rankings today, before a meeting with them and although a lot of the rankings had been passed down to yahoo's db their was some keywords that yahoo had not picked up on yet.

don't really know why, but if your looking to provide information for your clients/yourself you may get a false view on how many pages have been indexed by google.
