Okay, we all know that Yahoo has changed its format.

One of my sites is now in position 30. The keywords are in the url and the title - though not the description.

So, I'm thinking, I'm not happy with being number 30, I want to be in the top 3 - a sentiment which we ALL share and one that has brought us all together in this very Forum.

So, then I'm thinking;

1. I can't change my url - not that I'd want to
2. I can't change my title - ditto
3. I can't change my description - never going to happen.
4. resubmitting would be very expensive and most probably pointless.
5. optimizing the site for keywords won't make any difference.
6. I can't pay to be in the top 3.
7. I can't sit around and let potential exposure to my website at Yahoo be wasted any longer.

So what can I do...

We seem to be in agreement that Yahoo is calcualting click-pop and to my limited knowledge, this is the only way my position can now be influenced.

I am totally comfortable with saying here and now that if I find a way to increase click-pop by the use of non-genuine clicks, I would have no hesitation in doing so whatsover. Absolutely nothing to lose AND I truly believe (from my research of the current top 3) that if my site is in the TOP 3, the end users experience will be vastly improved. I also believe that once the site is in that position the click-pop system will ensure it stays there.

It is cheating because there is a fraudulent element to it - but there are no moral issues and I am not breaking any laws.

Thoughts please.

Cheating; sorta, kinda, but at least it's not filling YAHOO! up with more bogus keyworded domains.

Stavs,

>I truly believe that if my site is in the TOP 3, the end users experience will be vastly improved

If you really believe it, then hit the ground running.

>1. I can't change my url -
>2. I can't change my title -
3. I can't change my description.

To a certain degree you can: subdirectories.

>5. optimizing the site for keywords won't make any difference.

Sure it will if it helps to attract other Site owners thru other SE's that find your site so valuable they want to link to you.

>6. I can't pay to be in the top 3

Sure you can...you just may not want to pay their price. ( an SEO that is qualfied to get it for you).

>7. I can't sit around and let potential exposure to my website at Yahoo be wasted any longer.

Sure you can, but I'm glad your choosing not too. This Site (WMW) has everything you need to know to get to the top of Yahoo... now get to work :)
