I'm planning to submit website for travel agency to yahoo. Travel agency offering "AIRLINE TICKETS TO 4 EUROPEAN DESTINATIONS ONLY!!!(LONDON, PARIS, MADRID, ROME) NOTHING ELSE. I would like to target searches like "cheap airfare to London".
I have 4 pages:
mydomain.com/london.htm "cheap airfare to London"
mydomain.com/paris.htm "cheap airfare to Paris"
mydomain.com/rome.htm "cheap airfare to Rome"
mydomain.com/madrid.htm "cheap airfare to Madrid"
Each page contains standard keywords plus name of destination in it. All pages identical, except name of destination in destination field and keywords.
1. What would be the recommended directories for this website?
2. Do I have to pay to register each site or I can link them together and submit one? In this case if I register page one "airfare to London" would search engine return my page 2 for the search "airfare to Paris"?
3. Using:
london.mydomain.com
Instead of mydomain.com/london.htm
Is this treated as the same webpage?
4. Should I look for professional help? If yes, how much should I spend and where to look for help?
5. Is yahoo worth paying $300 for registration?
6. Any body knows what is the market share for each search engine??
7. If i'm rejected by Yahoo do i have to pay again to resubmit site?
Any information to someone new into this would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!!!!

1. Definitely the majors (Yahoo, Dmoz, Looksmart), and any other themed vortals (you can find these by searching in Google)
2. Depends on who you're paying, and you're overall strategy. If you're going to go with subdomains, it's best to pay for each one. Or else you can title your site "cheap tickets to europe" or something like that and then interlink them on the index page.
3. Subdomains are treated differently, as unique sites.
4. This forum is the best help you can find. You'll learn everything you need to know by reading old and new threads.
5. YES!
6. Varies, you can check this out: [pm.netratings.com...]
7. You have the chance to appeal. If that doesn't work, then you do have to pay again.
Julbarsb, you may want to read through the forums for answers to all your questions. You can also use the "site search" option on the top left.
Good luck!
