Frustrated - Cannot Be Found in Yahoo!

I've developed a well received niche information site over the past 24 months, having spent several thousand man hours at it. The site has a PR of 5, ~ 500 inbound links (many highly authoritative, many .gov and .edu). Google and Bing have received us very well, but Yahoo seems to think we're nothing. HELP... What might be some credible reasons we're not getting indexed well? (We do have 3-4 pages linked it seems). I even spent the $299 for the Yahoo Directory early on, but that seems to have been wasted money.

Any tips or information would be greatly appreciated.

Easy solution since Bing (Microsoft) is taking over Yahoo's search. Just wait.

Yeah, Yahoo is still indexing pages we removed six months ago. But, why worry about it.

Have you looked in the WayBack Machine on archive.org to see if a past owner of the domain did some Grey/Black Hat SEO work? Check dmoz.org also for evidence of the old site. If there was a grey/blackhat previous owner check your backlinks for evidence of their neighborhood that might be damaging and need addressing. I recently passed on buying a domain that was about to drop because of this.

Run a check of the other sites on the same IP as yours and see if they have a similar Y! situation.

It should go without saying....but is the html and css squeaky clean? Validates at validator.w3.org

All content clearly owned by you, none in a 'iffy' state, not duplicated anywhere?
