Sorry, this question has probably been asked a million times.

Does anyone have any stats on what percentage of Yahoo users search by keyword or browse through the directory to find sites?

Which is used more?

It's been asked, and we still don't have an answer for it. No hard data to be found anywhere on the subject Brad. The best guesses put it about 50-50.

My experience has been that most people search by keyword.

I suspect that many people start by searching by keyword and then click on the category listed by one of the results - a kind of cobmination effort.

I guess this should count as a directory search for most purposes.

I was a bit late on it, but when I look for any directory referals, most of the time visitors went straight for the search box. Yahoo users are no different from any directory users.
