Do you think you can get a good SERP without be on it

Hi guys,

If you will take a look in lots of search result at Yahoo, you can see that the first page contain sites that listed in Yahoo directory.

Do you think there a chance with good SEO to get to the first page without being listed on his directory?

I don't think is fair, taking into account that the directory listing cost money.

If the optimization is as per the search engine guidelines and a good traffic coming to the site, it will still work.

Being listed in yahoo is an advantage that helps in site traffic and SERPs.

When you say "per search engine" You mean that there is a very specific thing can help you with yahoo,

Funny thing is many, many of us DO NOT want to be listed in the Yahoo directory for reasons that Yahoo lists your site SOLELY based on your directory listing.

I for one will never pay funds for a directory listing for this exact reason. I don't want to be found for what they give my site for a description. Being placed for their description is LIMITING your keyphrase placements.

And to hear that your site has to be in the directory for top 10 placements is hogwash. I have 2 sites that are #1 for over 50 two phrase terms that are 50+ million results deep and neither has a directory listing anywhere!

yes, so overall it depends on the optimization of your site. Do a good optimization of your site and onlne marketing. This will have long term effectiveness and also you will not be paying for it on regular basis. It's one time effort thay will pay you for long. Also it will be more beneficial then just liting in a directory.

Yahoo Directory listing is paid if I am not wrong? And just listing is not enough to derive online traffic to your site among a long list of competitors.

my site listed in yahoo directory but not showing up as well in the main page or even top 100 page .. So dont waste ur money listed in there ..
