Love them or hate them at least the results give the end user results relevent to the search string.

Something that Google are fast losing their way on and MSN havent even got off the ground!.

This week i have it on very good authority that a MAJOR UK govenment product to introduce a national search engine facility (gawd knows why but its something to do with giving the crumblies and the disadvantaged access they didnt previously have to search and they do have cash to burn)its being tested and will be ready after September and they have this last week ditched Google which was powering its back up search reults and moved in favour of Yahoo.

As i understand it both the Google results and Yahoo results were tested and the Yahoo results were found to be more stable and more relevent for users!.

Have to say im not in the least surprised, i dont know if its down to hand editing or something else but some sectors of the Yahoo search results are amazingly spot on.

Perhaps Yahoo are still in the race but playing the slowly, slowly game!

Definetely not the case in my sector. Directory sites that just list real sites dominate the serps.

One word, pathetic. Simple linking algo should be able to handle this.
