Why is Yahoo is not Visiting our Site?

Our site had some significant update for months. Google and MSN had recrawl our site right after the update. I still cannot find Yahoo come to our site for the new and updated content.

Is there anything could be wrong from our side to make Yahoo stay away from our site? Or we just need to wait for a long long time?

Thank you

How old is your site?

I realize you state Yahoo isn't visiting your site, but... how many pages from your site are indexed in Yahoo?

We have plenty of bots visiting, but it's slow to update. Is that normal?

Some time ago we had robots.txt applied to our site and then released. Does anyone know if there is something similar to the 180 day suspension period implimented by Google, on Yahoo?

Yeah same here, I can give you some if you'd like to, so far their hits are useless become these guys can't even refresh their SERP :)

Don't cry for it trust me...waste of time.

Our URL's look like this

www.xyz.com/abc/def/ghi/
www.xyz.com/abc/def/ghi/plain-language-text-L11221.htm

All pages are under 50k - 25-50 links to a page. No dupe content.

At least 1 external link to each page and 20 internal links.

800 bots?

I've had about 70 sitting on my forum all day as Guests, 12 hrs now! It's freaky, are you saying this is normal?

What is really 'freaky', as another member said somewhere, is being a Yahoo shareholder and see that they spend your money scrawling the web then they do nothing with it :) but really n-o-t-h-i-n-g.

I get a lot of bot traffic also, but yahoo bot does not seem to hit a series of links, very sporadic. At times I get smacked, other times... Well you know...

Yesterday there was 310 bots and 7 users. The server crashed for about 5 min. When it came back up there were only 20 bots on the site.

This is a brand new forum like 3 months old. It's not like there are alot of posts.

I can't imagine what the bots are doing other than tracking the traffic. They sit on the index page and it seems when someone clicks on a link, another bot shows up to follow them.

I must say this is all very strange to me and the members. They think we have a "hot" forum. One member even posted encouraging the guests to please sign up and join the fun etc.

This morning 260 bots lie in ambush

I just noticed the bots left..whew! They were making all of us nervous. Yesterday the average was about 160 bots.

So they sat on my forum about a week. April 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10th

Maybe this info will help someone in the future.
