Yahoo - Major Drop in Ranking

Hello,

Is any body checked yahoo organics results, i have seen major drop down in my SE ranking for all of my keywords, even that my 9 out of 10 keywords were stable and holds top 10 position two days ago, but now they are no more coming under 50 results. Please update the post with your thoughts. have you been experienced such ranking drop downin the last past two days?

I've dropped about 8 positions from positions I've had since last October for the two main keyphrases I monitor on Yahoo. It looks like it happened late monday or early tuesday. Usually with Yahoo updates I tend to pop back up after a week or two.

Also my site description snippet has changed to something fairly strange. It appears to somehow be the description to our website link from a business related but fairly sloppy looking directory site.

Edit: I found the description snippet is also the same in the Yahoo directory

yes you are right zmboni, the same thing is happend with me. I think it is just because of some algo change, or some indexing or sandbox issue. That is why Yahoo organic displaying mostly the snippet from Yahoo Directory. But it is only with those sites, who already got registered with Yahoo Directories. What do you say it about?

I checked today and I'm back to my old snippet and the same position I was at previously.

hey... yahoo again dancing, I don't know what the ....... problem with yahoo algo, all major keywords lost their positions badly. Hey if someone have had such experience in these days with yahoo dance ?

hey.... Mrhard.. sorry to say.. but you are not right :) you know yahoo now a days having problem while giving authority to a web page. Like it mixing it up with Yahoo directory results. But only for those who have already been registered for its paid directory. I have my website and it is being registered in Yahoo directory. Yahoo giving paid results of its directory while someone searching organically. So Yahoo's Paid and Organic results are mixing up somewhere or may be its a problem of Yahoo Algo, which arises normally after a few months. Now my ranking are back to their original position. You don't know the facts actually :) its a normal and obvious when a search engine changes its algo some abnormal results are showing up there due to change.
