What's happened to yahoo? Accross all my sites, referals are down.

Yahoo is now 3rd behind even MSN according to my logs! And the SERPS are a joke compared to Google.

on some sites we work on traffic is up.

The traffic is the same at yahoo its the share of it your site gets following the update that may have changed it.

As ive said before, one mans havanna is another mans poison - your loss of traffic is someone elses gain.

Good luck

But the traffic levels have always been poor (from Yahoo).

MSN has slowly creeped past Yahoo but Google is still supplying more than 75% of my visitors.

Most of my sites used to do well on Y! and poor on G$ and MSN. Over the last 1-2 months this has flip-flopped for some reason. Now Y! sends me less than 10% of my traffic. Y! also seems to have really slowed its crawling of my sites. Getting new pages indexed by Y! is like watching grass grow now.

Overall my traffic is up by about 50% (thanks to G$) but if I was still getting my old Y! traffic levels I'd be up over 75%.

The upswing in $G and the drop in Y! happened almost simultaneously (within 7 days) so it's almost like Y! is penalizing the sites for doing better on G$.

Yes, probably its happening with most of the sites. With certain exceptions i think yahoo only account for less than 20% of the traffic.
