Why are results so inaccurate

Hi everyone, hope all is well, I hope I can get some help here.

Basically I'm developing ranking apps using Google, MSN and Yahoo API, Google api is decent enough in terms of the match to Google.com, MSN is better by a long way though, the correlation between MSN site results and API results is mostly 100%...

Yahoo on the other hand, is brutal, I mean the results from Yahoo.com / .co. uk etc is only about 30% the same as Yahoo api data? I don't want to have to scrap/extract. What can I do? Is there an update or something going on at Yahoo?
