I was checking one of my sites in Y!'s index, and noticed that snippet they gave consists of two parts:
-part of my meta description
- description of my site in one of wikipedia pages ( my site is listed as one of the 'outside resources / refferences' and has short description next to it. Y! didn't use anchor text but rather description after it)

I haven't noticed Y! doing this before (it might of and I just haven't been paying attention...). I understand that it's related to link discovery and text surrounding the link, I just haven't noticed Y! picking wiki descriptions (it might be strong link but it's no-followed by wiki...) If anything I thought that Y! would pick up anchor text....

Just goes to show you, and reinforce, that it's importaint to pick right text in the vicinity of the link and not just anchor text
