I saw this at Pubcon, it is more powerful then the site command... check out the explore url feature, you can go on for hours finding linking patterns...

If a page listed in Yahoo Site Explorer doesn't include a "cached" link (only an "Explore URL" link), does that mean that page really isn't in the index, and therefore is not eligble to be ranked?

I like the ability to filter out internal links.

That's the most complete backlink checker I've ever seen. Very hand tool.
It seems if you have a banned website, it shows URL not found too.
Great find.

Perhaps Yahoo! should consider removing links being met with a 410 Gone error or a 301 Moved Permanently. Otherwise the Yahoo! Site Explorer is going to be an index of outdated URL's.

It already is out of date. It's showing URLs that haven't existed for well over 2 years in some cases.

Site Explorer was first announced in August and went live in September. There have already been some threads about it. [webmasterworld.com...]

I am noticing people hotlinking my images are showing up as backlinks. Has Y always done this?

Great stuff, a1call. I didn't know about it until now. I'm finding inbound links I never knew about by using the site-wide link function.

Also just found several of our webpages cached, even though we've used <meta name="robots" content="noarchive"> for 2 years now.
