Does updating your Y directory listings make any difference.

for updating links, titles and descriptions for 1000 listings

My client has over 1000 listings in the Yahoo directory, most of which are old, and point to pages that redirect and the listings also use poor titles and descriptions.

I realize that the descriptions don't mean much because not too many folks actually use the directory, but can't help feeling that updating the (currently redirecting) links and improving the titles will be good for SEO.

Any thoughts?

Listing in Yahoo directory I believe are overrated, especially for SEO. We have a website, listed in the directory for a year, it doesn't even improved in Y search, the same is for Google. I understand if Google doesn't even look into the Yahoo directory, Google loves content and quality backlinks. Links in Y!D are just expensive paid backlinks.

So, you probably don't update these descriptions.
