Not showing all links

I know one of our sites has more links than what is shown in [siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com...]

Any ideas why that could be ?

Try search.yahoo.com and try it like this:

linkdomain:example.com -site:example.com

If your links were recently acquired, it may take a few weeks or longer before they show up. You may have to negative out any sites on which you have ROS links, in order to get more sites to show up.

How big is the discrepancy? Did you exclude internal backlinks?

My observation is that in some cases Yahoo does show a lot less backlinks than actually exists. You need to use alternatives to see if there is such discrepancy.

what alternatives do you recommend?
I've been trying to monitor the number of backlinks, but my colleague gets different results to me when searching for the same domain on Yahoo Site Explorer so I dont feel I can trust it?
