I was checking a client's backlinks and saw that our site is now showing in their backlinks on Site Explorer. The thing is, we have never linked to the client's site from our own.

I checked our current site's source and the Yahoo cache of our site and neither show a link to the client's (which is good because we have never linked to them). So why is it appearing?

Has anyone else seen anythig like this? Does anyone know why it is happening?

Try this search to find the exact page Yahoo says the link is coming from, and check everything in the source, including JS and CSS calls:
linkdomain:clientsite.com site:yoursite.com

Ah-ha... I have found it.

In a small flash piece, the flash developer had placed a logo with a link.

Odd... That piece has been on the site for several years and never did this for another client. Wonder why it was just this one? As it is, we have had that logo on there for months. Why now all of a sudden?
