Can anyone tell me why I might find different search results for the same term on two computers using the same network connection? Even posting the precise url & string comes up with different results. Could this be something to do with the current indexing? Does Yahoo use different data centres like Google?

Any help for a yahoo newbie greatfully received!

Could be part of their load balancing. Also check to see that "my search history" is not the cause.

Yes, Yahoo does use different datacenters like Google. And this is the reason for you getting two different sets of results. As far as I know they cannot be found though like Google's IP's. All the IP's I've ever had that resolved to Yahoo redirect to search.yahoo.com. I would like to know if their is a way to search the different datacenters though.

Thanks guys. I'll keep watching and waiting like all of us. I am now showing three different results on four different computers in the same office by the way!
