Hi Guys,

Yahoo has indexed numerous AdWords and Overture ads of ours. We contacted Yahoo about two weeks ago, thought they were working on it, but still no change.

Clearly we're not the first to go through this, but can't find info. on what to do and/or how long it takes to get this cleared-up.

Any ideas?

Hi mh,

We've had a problem with our Google tracking URL, <www.oursite/?referrer=google>, in that several people linked to us using that URL which caused Yahoo and Google to index the tracking URL as a separate page with duplicate content.

In cleaning that up, we also discovered that in the Yahoo serps, doing a search for <inurl:www.oursite.com "referrer"> brings up 18 Google Adwords ads of ours; whereas in doing a search for <inurl:www.oursite.com "overture"> brings-up two of our Overture ads that used the tracking URL of www.oursite.com/?source=overture.

A month ago, we stripped the tracking URLS out of the ads and 301'd them all to www.oursite.com. Nonetheless, Yahoo is still showing the Google and Overture ads as noted above.
