Does Yahoo! really review reinclusion requests?

Approved for search submit but denied three times for a reinclusion.

Does Yahoo! really review sites that you submit for reinclusion? I submitted one of our sites three times and each time I was told that it did not meet the quality standards (of course, I wasn't told what was wrong and I have no idea). When I sumbmitted it for the search submit product (pay-per-click), the same page was accepted the first time (no changes made).

Since both submission requests have the same quality standards, I wonder if Y! actually reviews the sites when you submit them for a reinclusion request. In all three cases I was given an answer in less than 24 hours (even on the 2nd submission where it said I would probably wait a few months).

Has anyone else had this experience? I wonder if this is all a process for Y! to make more money...

I have the same exact story. I send in a request and they tell me that my site does not meet their standards and to send in a(nother) request.

I examined my server logs very carefully and do not believe anyone actually looked at my site.

As two of my sites spontaneously disappeared I want to try a Y! reinclusion request but unfortunately haven't yet found a form link or email address after several attempts.

Can you provide a pointer to the right place and I'll check the logs thoroughly following the request and report back.

Thanks

jam -

did your site reappear in the search results after they accepted it? or only in the PPC results?

Not sure if the TOS allow posting this link, but here is where you can submit your site for a review.

Thanks for the link Randle - you've saved me from losing more time on the Yahoo! merry-go-round. Now to see if anything actually happens...

My site appears in the natural search results. The "Search Submit" product has someone review your site and then, if it meets their standards, it shows up in the natural results (but you have to pay $0.15/click).

when you say the same page was accepted...the review in the spam dept is the whole site..not the page. So a review of your site is looking for any seo'd techniques that might inflate your rankings while i must assume ppc reviews a single page for its quality...and again the directory reviews on different lines too...are you saying getting a single page acccpeted meant the whole site got back in the serps?

I just submitted our website, but I bet it won't do any good.

I don't know if the whole site got into the SERPS yet since it just happened yesterday. It seems to take Yahoo! some time to spider sites. The site has been penalized for a while and we have redone the entire site since it was penalized. I am interested to see if any of the other pages start to show up in the results and I'll let you know if they do.

Also, don't give up on reinclusion requests. The good news yesterday was that after I posted this a different site of ours that had also been penalized had its penalty removed and is ranked #1 for our best keyword! I just can't figure out why they wouldn't seem to review one site and reincluded the other?!?

Beware of hiring bad SEO firms!

i dont know your details but i wouldnt be so quick to blame bad seo....a lot of bans have nothing to with seo...its just that come review thats what they look at first...truly awful seo that doesnt get past the automated filters in Google flourish in yahoo...made-for-yahoo-spam is alive and well...i mean to start with they imported the inktomi list...that wasnt a great way to start....not imho anyway...
