Unusual Happenings in the clubs

Denial Of Service again????

Over the last two weeks, the member clubs message boards and transfer of e-mail thru the club message boards has been quit distressful. Mail processed through the club message board to members can take as long as three (3) to four (4) days to arrive at their "in" box. This mail also comes through in no specific order and follows no specific dated entry.

Access to certain parts of the clubs has been erratic. Attempts to access posted messages will take you to the first message posted, even days after a message has been posted. Online member lists have been the same for the last two weeks, even when those members are offline and an inability to upload photos has been experienced.

Access has improved since a complete access denial on 06/18/01, from about the time of 2:30 pm thru approximately 8:30 pm. After this time access to most areas cleared up. “Server re-boot”?

Your help with this matter is greatly appreciated.
Is there something, as club members, we can do to help???

Hi Tye, welcome to the board. Mostly we stick to the search engine end of things here. However, I've been to several clubs lately and they've worked ok. I've not seen any mention anywhere of problems with them. (beats me).

Brett

I truly welcome the information provided. I have been most, unsuccessful in getting information from the folks at Yahoo. Is there a specific address I might send a direct inquiry?

Again, any and all help is welcomed. But for I, as a member of many groups, have found the problems listed to occur in most of them. Many other members have been addressing these same issues.

Many thanks for your time,
Tye G.

Hi Tye,

I dug around trying to find some info. for you but I honestly don't know much about these and couldn't find much.

I'll keep digging and let you know if I find anything.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

We focus more on other aspects of Yahoo, such as getting sites listed in the directory.

Good luck!

Well...
(and I bet you get this a lot) You are 2much!;)

If either Brett or yourself are able to come with something, many individuals would be most grateful. I am now getting many responses regarding like problems encountered by myself.

If a point of contact within the Yahoo clubs area were available, I would gladly take these occurrences to their proper forum. You both have more than kind in allowing me the chance to voice concern over a problem you have no control. I feel you genuinely care for the conditions you monitor and this will reflect on any reports to Yahoo I am able to convey.

With all due Respect

Hi! I'm a fellow member of the Yahoo club Tye is from. I just wanted to state that I have noticed the same problem myself, not just in the one club but in almost every club I'm in. It's more noticeable in the high-traffic clubs though. You click on the link to the next consecutive post and get sent to a list of the first 40 posts in the club. It happens with aggravating regularity. Could this be due to some side effect of Yahoo merging with E-Groups?

Did you ever find a solution or a contact address for Yahoo? I belong to a club that is frozen in some type of loop that will not allow you to go beyond a particular message. I cannot find anyway to contact Yahoo to inform them of the malfunction. Any adivice you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

You can say all you want about Yahoo's directory, but My.Yahoo and the club system are things of beauty. What a job they did on those.
