Is anyone else as offended as I am at the new banner ads running on Yahoo for lingerie? Not exactly what I want showing up on my homepage. Guess its finally time to change.

Aren't those Yahoo Smart Ads [yhoo.client.shareholder.com]? They look at your surfing history and any demographic information about whoever is using that computer then show ads tailored to what the users of that computer have been surfing to.
Fwiw, I'm only seeing banking ads.

Heeheee, no "smart" ads here. I have a couple friends though I know this would cause to stumble back into some bad habits. Doesn't take much for people that have been down that road. Seeing it about every five to ten visits.

Yea, I've been testing them on insignificant pages for about a year or so now I reckon...horrible ad targeting...mostly ads about refinancing, credit cards and all that kind of crap. They just can't seem to get it together. They STILL haven't got any better at all.

Hi Asecret, I would scan your computer for spyware. Thanks, Tim

No spyware here. Its definitely a Yahoo Advertiser. VERY tacky.

If I had placed ads like that on my site, I'd get penalized.

What is tasteless about lingerie? Isn't it just apparel for women?
