I have a real estate site that shows listing from our area, got some tools....etc...typical local brokerage.
We market "new communitites", communities that are in their beginning phases, and prior....
Since Yahoo nor the big G, recognizes our streets in their geocoding database?(i hope i said that right)..its pretty hard to use a map for each listing, as i would have to mark them by LatLon ...
So, i decided to make a general map of our region. I put markers on each of our New Communities, some local resource offices, landmarks...
etc....
its pretty basic. got the zoom tool and Hybrid views available...
In some of the flash popup windows i put a small blurb about each community and a link to the sites. I have also linked to several .org sites and .gov...
Its a basic html page, with the yahoo <script> inserted...
will the links inside of those variables bee seen by the search engines?
Does anyone have any tips for creating a good map that is actually useful?
I think with enough links, i can create a pretty helpful map...
