getting listed

on yahoo!

I have heard that yahoo is one of the more dificult directories to get listed on and i wasnt expecting it to be instant but i have been submitting every 2 months now for about 18 months and i still am not listed.should i risk the express submit cost or persivere with the standard submission?.
my site is a web directory and i have been submitting to
comps & www> internet>searching the web> search engines and directories> web directories>
any advice gladly accepted...thanks in advance.

I would seek out some advice on your Site before comitting the biz express money at this point. 18 months is far too long... somthing could be wrong with your submission. Is it the Site in your profile?

Hey Mack,
I checked out your site (and added my url :) ), and the site looks good. I checked it on NS3 and IE5, so browser compatibility doesn't seem to be the issue. One problem that stands out though is the title tag on each page of the site: "New up and comming search directory and portal site". Fix the spelling error, and consider changing the title to something more relevant, such as 'ClickforChoice Search Directory and Portal'. As far as Yahoo submissions go, I can't give much advice since none of my free submits have worked. Going for the paid submit may be your best best to ensure quick placement. Good luck

I've been trying to get listed in Yahoo for about 2 years. Finally I did get listed, using free submission. So, first of all, check your web-site for HTML or spelling errors and then go ahead.
