Y! Directory - Picking the Best Category

How to pick the best catagory

I'm going to submit a customer site to Y!. They manufacture scientific instruments, and can afford $300 for the listing. I'm concerned about submitting into the best/most appropriate category. My options are:

B2B > Scientific > 2-site listings

B2B > Scientific > Supplies and Equipment > 204-site listings

It seems logical to submit to the category with only 2 listings, not to mention it's less deep. However, all the scientific instrument manufactures submitted into the sub-category with 204 listing.

What should I do?

What you do is not matter because at last yahoo employee will place your site under "Supplies and Equipment".

This service is human powered.

Yahoo Directory is worthless anymore. No one is manning the helm. We've had one in for years and have asked for ONE measly change and we NEVER get a reply, ever. Never again will I submit a site to Yahoo's Directory. Waste of money.

I usually pick the best one with the best PR, but no Ydir is not worthless..

yahoo dir you need meet their guidelines to be listed in their directory.. Thats trust in googles eyes imho.

I just use the first one which is listed on the page…..yesterday I searching for a UK pharmacy directory…..this came first on the list [drugdelivery.ca...] So I just chose it. I think most of the people do this…because only the sites which regularly used or visited appears in the first position.
