My site was recently hacked somehow and a real jerk uploaded some rather nasty pages to the site and messed with the .htaccess file.
I removed the files and fixed the .htaccess file, disallowed the type of file they were, .html, from being indexed with robots.txt ...
Anyway to make a long story shorter, in the interim, these pages were indexed by various search engines including Yahoo.
The pages are gone so they now return a 404 error but certain searches still come up 3rd and 8th in the Yahoo search results for some nasty terms and I would really like to have them gone quite frankly.
How do I do that? Will Yahoo just drop these soon since they are 404s?
