Is anyone else noticing the rapid changes in links reported when using the "site:www.site.com" command?

Since this whole yahoo mess started a few days ago, I hadn't noticed any real difference. But, beginning yesterday, the numbers really started to change. They are jumping back & forth every few moments. And all the while, slurp continues to visit my site.

My listings on Yahoo! have been jumping wildly from 200 to 500 to 1100 to 900 to 1800 to 2000 within hours with no rhyme or reason. This has been happening for the last month or more.

Not sure what is happening, seems like Yaho Mike is nowhere to be seen.

My numbers bounce around from 375 to 675 - entire site seems like it's out of the index. I thought they were going to talk to webmasters more. Seems like a black hole of information right now.

I think yahoo is also doing some huge changes and it should stabilize in the next few days. Remember recently Google had one called Bourbone.

The Yahoo Search Blog reported today that there will be changes made to the index tonight. They said we can expect more pages to be included and ranking fluctuations.

Very considerate of them to to actually announce when changes are being made. I think all SEs should follow their example.

Now if they would only announce when their Ads by Yahoo will be live.

Wow ... More fun ... "site:www.site.com" now reports no results in Yahoo ... Earlier today, it had leveled off at 1980 results ... This isn't looking good at all ... Some update!

Backlink numbers on Yahoo for one of my sites bounce around between 3,000 and 12,000. My Yahoo rankings and traffic seem fairly stable so I think it is more an issue with reporting of links rather than any actual changes. Otherwise I would think I would see huge ranking fluctuations from losing 9,000 links one week and then gaining them all back the next week.

Well ... Traffic for me from Yahoo (which had been pretty much steady since early last year), virtually stopped last week on the 15th ... No changes, or anything that would signal such a change ... Just gone ...
