Yahoo looking at buying Bebo?

Internet colossus Yahoo Inc is rumoured to be working on an attempted takeover of Bebo, Britain's most popular social networking site, and is thought to be willing to pay as much as 1 bln usd for the site, according to a report in the Sunday Telegraph newpaper.

I would rather not see Yahoo buy Bebo. I like Bebo as it is. Bebo would be best suited for brand building and getting your brand in front of users aged 13 to 30.

Worth 1b well I don't know the stats but I don't think Bebo is worth that, mind you i still don't think youtube is worth what Google paid for.

If they do buy Bebo they better not bloody ruin it by making you sign in with yahoo usernames etc.

Interesting though, none of the Bebo staff in their Austin office were willing to make any comments about the "rumor".
