I've always had far too few referrals from Yahoo searches compared to MSN and Google, at least according to the comparison ratios I've seen here. I've wondered whether this could be because my main site is in the Yahoo directory with a www. prefix, when it is canonicalised without the www. Also, the entry isn't really in the right spot - I've been filed under "non-fiction" when I review fiction as well.

Is there any way of getting Yahoo directory entries updated other than submitting the site to the correct category? (Which I've tried once without any success.)

The www vs non-www shouldn't be an issue.

Setup a 301 redirect from all instances of one version to the other. We normally go with the www versions, so all pages on the site that start with [domain.com...] will have a 301 to their [domain.com...] equivalent.

Yahoo's customer service is spotty. You can try to contact their support team and have the directory listing updated.
