I've noticed that Yahoo has recently started filtering my special characters from my meta title tags. Putting aside arguments about whether it's good practice to use special characters in your title tags, has anyone else noticed this.
Furthermore, I have noticed that it is not filtering all of my special characters. On one site, I have a happy face in the title tag of a few of my pages. These are being filtered in the search results and my positions (usually #1) have not been affected. On another site I use a dagger symbol in the title tag of a few of my pages. These are not being filtered in the search results.
Aside from wondering if anyone else has noticed this, any speculation on the significance of this?
