Great in Google, Poor in Yahoo: Any Ideas?

Hey guys I am sorry if this is a topic that has already been covered. There are hundreds of posts and I took some time to find it but no luck. Doesn't help to have an 18 month old tugging at my leg either :).

I am doing great in the organic results of Google. For my top key words I am on the first page and rising. When it comes to yahoo I have never really showed up at all. I have submitted my site to yahoo with their new tool. I have paid to be in their directory (I am sure a little cash their way can't hurt) I have also set up some ppc campaigns with them. But still nothing.

I would love to increase my ranking without hurting my ranking in Google. I have heard that yahoo likes tons of links good or bad. I have tried to really only add quality links.

If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it. I am coming into my busy season and my baby girl needs a new pair of shoes! :)

I have exactly the same problem. Repeated submissions to Yahoo but never appear in their search engine - despite being in their own Directory. any advice of who to write to on this would be appreciated. thanks

Google and Yahoo are different beast. With Google, you can get a lot more done with off page SEM. In Yahoo, on page optimization holds a lot more weight.

Look for tips in the forum for optimizing your web pages for Yahoo. That should help.
